The Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society preserves local landmarks, artifacts, and open spaces of historical significance on the Tiburon Peninsula. Landmarks manages Old St. Hilary’s Landmark, Railroad-Ferry Depot Museum, S.S. China Cabin, Landmarks Art & Garden Center, and the History Collections for the enjoyment of our community and its visitors.
Landmark Activities include maintaining the properties, leading botanical and architectural tours, and providing concerts, lectures and exhibits. The History Collections house historical local art, photographs, artifacts, documents of our community, and also provide tours and educational materials to our schools.
The historical sites and the History Collections are significant assets to the community but the costs of preservation are not insignificant. The most important financial support comes from the membership base. PLEASE JOIN and help preserve our local heritage for future generations.

Your membership indicates support for preserving Marin’s local heritage. Dues are used for basic operating expenses. Dues and donations are tax deductible under federal and state tax provisions.
If you already have a membership, please consider giving a gift of a membership to a family member or friend. Our program needs your support.
One of the future benefits of membership that is not currently listed on the membership form is access to historical documents on the website. We are currently developing a Members Only section which will have a greater display of archival items and photos from our collections.
Please consider as well becoming a Landmarks’ Volunteer. We are always looking for interested individuals who would like to be docents for our different historical properties or who would like to volunteer to work in our Archives helping us catalog and preserve our local history. Please email your interest to Lmsoffice@sbcglobal.net
Thank you in advance!
